Terms of Use
These terms cover ShotShot for macOS and the ShotShot website. They are the agreement between you and Vu Nguyen when you download, buy, or use the app.
Last updated: 16 September 2026
Accepting these terms
By downloading, purchasing, or using ShotShot, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.
Your licence
When you purchase a ShotShot licence and comply with these terms, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use ShotShot for personal or commercial work. A licence may be activated on up to three Macs that you own or control.
You may create and use unlimited screenshots and other output made with ShotShot. You keep all rights in the content you create. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for the images and material you capture, import, or share.
What you may not do
- Share, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or transfer the app or your licence key.
- Copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except where applicable law does not allow that restriction.
- Circumvent licence validation, activation limits, or any technical restriction in the app.
- Use ShotShot to create or distribute unlawful content or to infringe someone else’s rights.
Purchases, updates, and support
ShotShot is sold as a one-time purchase. There is no recurring subscription for a standard licence. Purchases are processed by Creem, which provides the checkout, invoice, and payment service. Any refund request is handled according to the applicable checkout and payment-provider terms; if you need help, contact support@shotshot.app.
Your licence includes the version you purchased and app updates we make available while ShotShot continues to be offered. We may update, change, or discontinue features or the app itself, including where necessary for security, compatibility, or legal reasons.
Availability and disclaimer
We aim to keep ShotShot useful and reliable, but the app and website are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
ShotShot is a tool for creating images. You are responsible for reviewing your captures and exports before relying on or publishing them.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of ShotShot. Our total liability for a claim relating to ShotShot is limited to the amount you paid for the licence giving rise to that claim.
Changes and contact
We may change these terms from time to time. The date above will show when they were last revised. Continuing to use ShotShot after an updated version is posted means you accept the updated terms.
